A lot of Roman Glass shards were excavated there and have been cut and bored to made gorgeous unique beads by Afghan local villagers

The middle two rows alternate between the chatons and large emerald cut stones as shown in the photo

This is a rare old bead that shows a bit of wear which greatly adds to its character

and safety pin-style catch are all 14k gold

Adorned with 2 repousse dragons on each side of a circular ornament. India, mid 20th century. Likely from Rajasthan. 2 1 2" in diameter. 24 grams.
