Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with a trapezoidal bronze backplate and horizontal pinback, consisting of a Cross Patte, the obverse with a central German State Crown, the armed bearing an inscription of DEUTSCHER KRIEGERBUND WASHINGTON D. C., GEGR. 8 SEPT 1910 (GERMAN WARRIOR ASSOCIATION WASHINGTON D. C., FOUNDED 8 SEPTEMBER 1910), the reverse maker marked
